  5. **************** Changing Background Designs *****************
  6.  
  7. Choosing "Replace Background only" in card projects will 
  8. delete the text as well as replace the background. To 
  9. avoid this problem copy the text to the clipboard before 
  10. replacing the background design in card projects.

  12. **************** Banner projects *****************************
  13.  
  14. Sometimes print outs from banner projects do not match what 
  15. is on the screen. To ensure your project will print properly,
  16. zoom in on the banner project before printing.
  17.  
  18. **************** Removing this application *******************
  19.  
  20. While trying to remove this program, you may be asked if you
  21. would like to delete some files that are shared with other
  22. applications. These files are usually installed in the Windows 
  23. System directory. We highly recommend that you select NO when
  24. this dialog box is prompted to ensure that other applications 
  25. are not affected. If there are files that are not deleted from 
  26. the ColorStore directory, you may remove them through the Windows
  27. Explorer.

  29. *********** Printing Instructions for Frame Projects ***********
  30.  
  31. Please note that, when selected, one instruction sheet will
  32. print with each frame. If you are planning to print more than
  33. one copy, and do not want more than one copy of the instruction
  34. sheet to print, you should print one frame with the instructions 
  35. box checked and then resend the rest of your frames without the 
  36. instructions box selected.

  38. ******************* LZW Compressed TIF files ****************
  39.  
  40. This program does not support importing of LZW Compressed .TIF 
  41. files. These files need to be decompressed before importing them 
  42. into the program.

  44. ********************* Printing ******************************
  45.  
  46. If you experience any problems with text, graphics, or colors 
  47. printing incorrectly, you should try to adjust your printer 
  48. settings before calling technical support.  Doing so often
  49. corrects the problem.  Always set your printer to the highest
  50. quality settings for graphics.

  53. RECOMMENDED PRINTER SETTINGS FOR POPULAR PRINTER MODELS
  54.  
  55. Canon BJC 4000 and 600E: 
  56. On the Canon BJC 4000 and 600E printer, the best quality is 
  57. achieved by choosing Screen-Matched Color and Diffusion 
  58. Halftone in the Printer Setup options. For cards and letters
  59. with smaller margins, try choosing "Clip to Fit" and pressing
  60. the OK button in the Print Adjust Dialog available on the 
  61. File menu.

  63. Canon BJC 210, 240, 4100, 4200, 4550, C2500:
  64. Under File go to print setup and choose Options.  Go to GRAPHICs
  65. and choose STANDARD, FULL COLOR, and CUSTOM.  Click on Options, 
  66. then choose FULL COLOR, and CUSTOM.  Click on Options, 
  67. then choose FULL COLOR, DIFFUSION, and MATCH. Then click OK all
  68. the way out of the Print Setup.

  70. Canon BJC 610 and 620:
  71. Under File go to Print Setup and choose Options.  Press OK.
  72. This will activate the BJC Properties Screen. Select QUALITY:
  73. HIGH QUALITY GRAPHICS. Select Graphics & Color.  Under Color 
  74. Mode, single click on Manual Set Color. Under Halftoning 
  75. choose SMOOTH.  Make sure that under Print Quality "Disable 
  76. Color Match" is NOT selected.  Then click OK all the way out 
  77. of the Print Setup.

  79. FOR ALL OTHER PRINTERS, PLEASE REFER TO YOUR PRINTER MANUAL FOR
  80. RECOMMENDED SETTINGS FOR GRAPHICS.

  82. ********************  CARD AND ENVELOPES  ******************
  83. This program uses shaded gray areas on card envelopes to indicate 
  84. cut-out areas. Because of border limitations, the shaded gray 
  85. areas do not fully extend to the edge of a page. To obtain the 
  86. correct cut-out dimensions of an envelope, make sure that you 
  87. begin to cut out the shaded gray areas from the edge of the page.

  89. Depending on the type of printer and the print options chosen, 
  90. these guides can become very light or disappear entirely.  Refer 
  91. to the manual for instructions on cutting and folding envelopes.
  92.  
  93. Once the envelope is made, the flap will overlap the back so 
  94. that the envelope can be glued shut.  The flap may cover stamps 
  95. or text placed at the top of the envelope back (The top of the 
  96. envelope back is immediately below the dashed line drawn 
  97. across the back of the envelope as seen on the screen).

  99. ******************** RESIZING HANDLES  ********************
  100. Resizing handles for both stamps and text boxes are black.  
  101. When an object is a very dark color, the handles can disappear 
  102. against the dark background. These objects can be resized by 
  103. slowly moving the cursor and watching for it to change from an 
  104. arrow to a resize indicator, then click and drag to resize the 
  105. object.

  107. Similarly, the dashed line borders of text boxes can disppear 
  108. against dark background art. 
  109.  
  110. ************************* ARTWORK ************************
  111. All of this program's artwork is designed to give the 
  112. highest possible quality when printed. In the small preview 
  113. screens, some details may be lost because of the small size.  
  114. This situation can be further aggravated by low resolution 
  115. monitors.  However, your cards, frames, and envelopes will 
  116. look great when printed.
